Tilly looked carefully around but there wasn't an obvious way to get to the shelf. She could try to grab a grape as she flew past but that was going to be difficult, and she might miss. No, Tilly decided, what she wanted was some sort of ladder to climb up from the kitchen work surface, up to the shelf. But where could she find a ladder?
You don't find a ladder in a kitchen, although it only needed to be a small ladder, so what else could she use Tilly wondered?
