How will using RSS help me?
RSS - Really Simple Syndication, was developed so that instead of you, the user, going to a website everyday, to see if there is anything new, the website informs you as and when things change.
On this site, we use RSS for our news page. All you need to do is subscribe to the RSS feed by clicking on the orange RSS (or XML) icon, and everytime there is a new article, you will be notified by your software.
This sounds cool, what do I need?
All you need is an RSS Reader. This can be a stand alone piece of software, which is great if you subscribe to a few dozen different sites, as it shows you all the new articles and information in one place. See below for some example readers you could use.
Another popular way of reading RSS feeds, is to subscribe to them direct from your browser. Compatible browsers at the time of writing are Safari on Mac, and Firefox on Mac and PC. Version 7 of Internet Explorer on the PC also allows you to discover and view RSS feeds. Firefox is worth looking into if you don't already have it.
So, get yourself an RSS reader, click on the orange XML icon below, and start keeping up to date with our website news, without having to visit the site everyday. The link you need to subscribe is: http://www.disbelieving.com/news/rss.xml
